Mill Bread is traditional German grain bread. It is both hearty and nutritious. This delicious sandwich is filled with a chopped Black Forest ham salad, making for old-fashioned delight.
1 loaf Backerhaus Veit Mill (Multigrain) Bread sliced into 12 slices.
1 pound good quality ham (Honey-baked or Black Forest ham is ideal)
1/2 cup salad dressing (or mayonnaise)
1 tomato, sliced
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 celery stalks
2 tablespoon sweet relish
6 lettuce leaves
1. Add the ham, salad dressing (or mayonnaise), celery, sweet relish, onion, oregano, and pepper into a food processor.
2. Pulsate food processor about 4 to 5 times. You want ingredients well mixed; however, only coarsely chopped.
3. Spread ham salad on a slice of Mill Bread, add 2 tomato slices, a leaf of lettuce and top with an additional bread slice.
